The D-Network ecosystem is designed to actively appeal to and engage with all participants who have the potential to positively impact our community, network, and all its stakeholders.
As a detailed preview, the YouTube video below offers valuable insight into how D-Network is preparing to achieve our ambitious goals, showcasing a demonstration of both the Node Manager Dashboard and the Node Manager software package from our alpha development stages:
Robin Hood appeal
We acknowledge (and deeply appreciate) that many of our node providers are primarily motivated by the ethical 'Robin Hood' principle of challenging corporate VPNs and being part of a decentralized disruptor.
D-Network, on the other hand, does not want to appeal to node suppliers solely on moral or ethical grounds, and has balanced the ecosystem so that our node providers receive a fair share of all rewards.
Rewarding node providers
Nodes are hardware devices that require resources such as electricity and an internet connection, which carry certain costs. A truly decentralized solution should fairly cover these costs within its ecosystem.
Not only does D-Network aim to cover node provider costs, but we also strive to ensure that our node providers receive a considerable share of the revenue generated by our ecosystem. This approach enables rapid growth of our network and provides node providers with ethical and financial incentives.
D-Network node providers will be able to track their performance metrics and have a detailed overview of their earnings by logging into their personal dashboard in our dApp.
Node providers grow our network
All participants in the D-Network ecosystem have the opportunity to sign up and become node providers.
Node providers play a crucial role in our ecosystem by routing and encrypting traffic, enhancing overall functionality for other users and improving network security. Each node provider functions within the larger network of thousands of nodes, contributing to the decentralized nature of our ecosystem.
This collective effort ensures robustness and resilience, supporting the growth and stability of our ecosystem, which is why a significant portion of our revenue is allocated to reward our node providers.
Becoming a node provider
Participants in our ecosystem can become node providers by registering and installing D-Network's proprietary software package to deploy a node on their devices, following our easy setup tutorial.
Our software enables a participant to run their computer as a network node, which is ideal for both participants who have a spare computer available or those who want to dedicate their computer to run as a node during idle periods, such as when they sleep or are away and not using their devices.
The flexibility of providing a full-time or part-time node to the D-Network ecosystem creates an ideal situation that benefits both our users and node providers. It enables more providers to earn passive income while offering users a greater diversity of IP addresses as we grow to millions of users.
Quality and performance
Our reward distribution is based on factors such as the quantity of traffic routed through nodes and the available service quality, which includes uptime and connection speed users are able to access.
By measuring service quality, we not only ensure a fair reward distribution among node providers, with more rewards going to highly utilized nodes, but also rely on quality control in the hands of users, as they are always free to select another node if they are unsatisfied with the performance of a single node.
